Fabric Selection & Care |

All Ginger Pye reusable sandwich and snack wraps are made from cotton or cotton blend fabric, with a strong waterproof lining and velcro tabs for secure fastening, and can just be wiped clean. The fabric is machine-washed before being sewn up to avoid any possible shrinkage.
Our wraps are designed to be wiped clean with a damp cloth or spot cleaned with warm soapy water. If necessary, hand washing is recommended or they can be machine washed on a cold cycle, ideally in a delicates bag to keep them looking their best.
Our Ginger Pye sandwich and snack wraps use EVA for the lining – a great material which is waterproof, flexible and durable. EVA is lead-free and certified foodsafe by the FDA* and also does not require a plasticiser to obtain its flexibility, making it bisphenol-a (BPA) and phthalate-free. EVA has been in use for several years as a chlorine-free substitute for other plastics: “The weight of available evidence indicates that the absence of chlorine in the formula will generally render the lifecycle environmental health impacts of EVA less harmful than chlorinated plastics”* - making it the greener choice in every way! |
